According to Japan's JEITA, Japanese LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV shipment value in 2006 will increase to 636.6 billion yen, for 20% annual growth, significantly weaker than 2005's 42% and 2004's 81%. PDP (Plasma Display Panel) TV shipment value will reach 193.9 billion yen, with 11% annual growth. Digital still camera shipment value is expected to hit 632.8 billion yen, up 6.5% annually, but lower than the growth rate in 2004 and 2005. Digital video camcorder shipment value is projected to reach 418.9 billion yen, down to 2.4% from 2005's 3.8%.
